Windy Rock Foals

Many foals from Windy Rock Farm have gone on to find success as trail horses and show horses. Below is TJ, a stunning red chocolate 2004 colt by Jubal T being shown as a yearling colt.
Sophie, Mabeline's 2003 filly by Stoney Point Nickolei is on the UMH/ KMSHA show circuit and brought home several ribbons in the park class in 2006 and 2007.
2006 also found our yearling filly, Annabelle by Smokey Joe in the winner's circle with a blue ribbon in conformation. She qualified for the championship class at the RM International show in September 2006. She was shown during the 2008 season in the 3 year old mare classic pleasure classes. She placed in each class shown. In 2009, she went on to compete in several championsip classes in the trail pleasure division. She did so with various riders exemplifying her consistency and locked in gait. She is showing successfully in 2010 with Jessica Shannon. Annabelle is the 2010 NC and Kentucky Grand Champion Trail Pleasure horse.
In 2010, we sold a 2 yr old filly, WR Honeysuckle Hattie to Germany. Perhaps she will help to spread the "Rocky news" to Europe.
Three of our foals went to Canada where they are being enjoyed and trail ridden.
Our very first foal, a striking bucksin by Spanish Sundown , has helped his rider to accumulate 1000's of miles where she competes at the top of the RM Trail Rider's Competition.
We give our foals the basics. They are taught to load, lead, tie and allow their feet to be handled. After the first 24-48 hrs after birth, our mares and foals are turned out on pasture as much as possible.
Two of our bay fillies, chosen for their conformation and bloodlines, have become brood mares for the Minix farm in hopes of producing palomino or buckskin when bred with their double cream stallions.
We are very proud of all of our foals. They have the conformation, gait and temperament to suit whatever passion you chose to pursue.

Our Maizie produced the most awesome foals! They always possessed her sweet temperament and carried on her flashy white legs. Sadly, we lost Maizie during foaling in 2006. We will never forget our sweet "Hillbilly" mare, as we fondly referred to her and the beautiful foals she gave us...Rico, Boo, Tuggy & Solly.
2009 foals are here! Take a look at the sales page for pictures and descriptions. We have 3 stud colts by Tiajuana Taxi, R Ranger Dream Maker and Shepherd's Snowy River.
